We're looking for a senior, end-to-end platform engineer who can design, build, operate, and improve internal research infrastructure. Your customers are human researchers (including you!) and their agents. You'll build tools and workflows for both.

Your mission is to shorten the loop from “a researcher has an idea” to “the experiment ran reliably and produced rigorous and transparent results.”

This is a high-ownership role for someone excited to build at the frontier of neuro-symbolic AI - and help define how humans and AI agents engineer complex systems together.

Qualifications:
  • Strong Python engineering skills
  • Experience running distributed, compute-intensive workloads involving containers, high concurrency, CPU/GPU allocation, timeouts, transient failures, and memory constraints
  • Experience making long-running workloads reliable, checkpointable, resumable, and debuggable
  • Strong observability skills spanning structured logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and production debugging
  • Experience building backend systems with technologies such as Postgres and object storage
  • Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform, such as AWS or GCP
  • Fluency with Linux, Bash, and command-line tooling
  • Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
  • Growing fluency with coding agents and an interest in building codebases, tools, and feedback loops that help agents work effectively
  • Genuine interest in symbolic AI
Nice-to-have:
  • Experience operating in an early-stage startup
  • Experience owning production systems at significant scale
  • Hands-on exposure to program synthesis, inductive logic programming, Answer Set Programming, Datalog, SAT/SMT solving, or related formal methods
  • Experience with network engineering, private networking, and secure service access
